Try the Dream trilogy. A small gaming group gets drawn into a game.

The first book is here. $1.99. One of the better indie works in the sub-genre.

Couldn't help myself. I'm a sucker for this kind of fiction. Only $2 for the Kindle. Now I just have to make time to read it.

Not sure if you are still taking recommendations, but if you like The Expanse novels and/or TV show, the core TTRPG is a great book to read through even if you never play it.

I also like the Cubicle 7 Doctor Who stuff. Have no interest in playing it but I like the books.

I'm up and around today. After weeks of eating almost nothing, I wolfed down several bowls of cereal this morning and they're staying down, so things are looking up. Maybe I'll read something this evening.
