Good Wizards Play Store in Seattle

Hi there,

I'm in Seattle next week and was wondering if there are any Wizards play stores in downtown Seattle. I'd like to get a copy of the Monster manual and maybe play an encounters game.

I've been away from Seattle for about two years, but since you're not getting much answers, I'll chime in.

Gamma Ray games opened just after I left, but I think it would probably be the closest store to downtown (it's in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle).

Since you mentioned Encounters, I used to play at Green Lake Games where there tended to be a good group of regulars there. The store itself was a bit cramped with board games but had a good selection, and also kept a decent stock of rpg stuff.

While it's a bit out of the way if you're downtown, I'd also recommend Card Kingdom and the attached bar Cafe Mox

I second Green Lake Games (around 76th and Aurora Ave) and Card Kingdom (in Ballard). Both are great stores, though Card Kingdom definitely feels more high end, and has a much larger space to do business. I've volunteered at Green Lake before, and the staff is very friendly.

Gamma Ray Games is great. So is Phoenix games on Broadway.
