Hi, George. I've owned the first two printings of the 1e AFMBE core book, as well as the 1st printing of the revised core book and more than half of the supplements at various times. Due to a perceived underwhelming market presence recently (typified by hard to find core books), I came to the conclusion that AFMBE was out of the running this time around. Why specifically? I tried to order a copy of the AFMBE core book a year or so ago from several local game stores, only to be told by their distributors that they didn't have any copies of the book in stock, and that they weren't certain when they would get new copies in as it was currently. As mentioned, Amazon had next to nothing in the way of new Eden products in stock at the time (except, IIRC, Terra Primate). It seemed prudent, as a consumer, for me to track down games that distributors and game stores wouldn't have any issues ordering for me. Further, in addition to distribution issues with your most popular game line, Eden has a site home/news page that hasn't been updated since November of last year*, delivered poor support for Buffy and Angel (both product lines that I bought into full tilt, FWIW), and has utterly failed to deliver on titles like City of Heroes and Beyond Human for years now. Given all of these truths, I really don't think that choosing something other than AFMBE as my zombie game of choice was too outrageous a decision. While I commend you for keeping Eden's doors open through license losses and development issues, as a consumer, I don't feel comfortable buying products from a company that consistently doesn't meet release dates, suffers frequent distribution problems, and for whom keeping a website updated is an constant battle. I've been a huge Eden fan and supporter in the past but, frankly, consider my confidence shattered. Sorry, George, but AFMBE simply isn't the zombie game for me anymore. *And several sections of the website that haven't been updated for more than two years.
