I haven't heard any news since your March press release, and I'm working on my list of things to look for at GenCOn. Is this still on track for an August release?

Good question.

With Beyond Monks, Complete Guide to Beholders, Dawnforge and other goods coming out, I had completely forgotten that Goodman was also publishing Blackmoor.

"...Including the core sourcebook, we should have 3 books by the end of this year, with plans for another 15 products for next year, including modules, etc..." - Dustin Clingman, Zeitgeist Games Inc.

I subscribe to the d20 Blackmoor Yahoo group and Dustin recently posted the above teaser there. That's all I know.

Joe had a cover mock-up at Origins, and when I interviewed him for Polyhedron he mentioned that things were still very much on track for Blackmoor.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to give you a heads up for what Zeitgeist Games has on tap for this convention season!

As a quick note, Dave Arneson's Blackmoor is pushed back till
September. There were a few minor production issues that caused us to change the date. The book looks awesome.(Granted I am a bit biased on the issue. :)

We will be rolling into GenCon this next week, if you are coming be sure to come see us at the Goodman Games booth. Dave will be autographing and visiting with fans. Be sure to check out the Dungeon Crawl Classics #3.5 module created just for GenCon! It will be available at GenCon only so if you can't go, let me know and maybe I can get an autographed copy for you.

Our GenCon schedule lines up as such:

Friday
-------------
11:00am - 12:00pm - "The World of Blackmoor" session with Dave Arneson and Dustin Clingman
12:30pm - 1:00pm - Autograph signing session in the Goodman Games booth.
3:30pm - 4:00pm - Autograph signing session in the Goodman Games booth.

Saturday
--------------
11:00am - 1:00pm - Screening of Dave's documentary "Dragons in the Basement" with QA session afterwards.
1:00pm - 2:00pm - Official GenCon Autograph session in the White River Ballroom.
3:00pm - 3:30pm - Autograph session in Goodman Games booth

Sunday
-------
10:00am -11:30am - "How to Design Games" with Dave Arneson,Michael Gray, Jordan Wiesman and Dave Williams
12:00pm -1:00pm - Autograph session in Goodman Games booth

Those attending GameFest the following week can check into some great stuff with our own Jeff Quinn who will be running numerous awesome games including something he calls "Blackmoor module - Ties that Bind". It's the first time this module will be played publicly and it seems to me I have seen it somewhere before, I just can't place where…. ;)

Here is Jeff's, and his wonderful wife Sue's, whole schedule for those who will be in attendance. The games in italics are being run by Sue.

Friday
----------
8am-12pm - Blackmoor Module: Ties That Bind (D&D 3.5E)

There's the latest poop from the head boss himself.

Thanks for the "latest poop," Jeff!

(Man, if there's ever a sentence that should not be taken out of context, it's that one!)

I look forward to taking a look at it this fall.

Hi guys,

Blackmoor's delayed... funny how that happens in this industry :) ... but not by too much. We'll keep you updated as it progresses. Once we send it to the printer, we'll have a final "and this time for real" release date.

I guess you saw Jeff's post, too. Dave will have several autograph sessions at the Goodman Games booth. We don't yet have Blackmoor for him to autograph, but we do have his Dungeon Crawl Classics #3.5, a Gen Con-only special , which not only has Dave Arneson's name on the front but features an original cover by Erol Otus.

Hope that helps.
