Message: <blockquote data-quote="jwill" data-source="post: 9726436" data-attributes="member: 7053582"><p>I had a TERRIBLE experiance with their Backerkit for Purple Planet.  I pledged over 600 bucks to get everything that I wanted.  In return, they sent the collector's cover which was packed at one of their friend's distribution offices in Portland.  It came with less than 25% of my pledge.  The collectors cover item was in a large box with no padding or even paper rattling around the whole trip.  I emailed the and they totally blew me off.  They'd "look into it."  I had to start hammering away on a public forum to even get an honest to god commitment to resolve the issue.  They started trying to minimize my experiance in the emails.  From their end, I guess it was all just a joke.  I asked them if it was a simple mistake, why on earth they were so careless when packing the collectors cover in the first place?  The company rep at Goodman told me that she didn't share my feelings and would only admit that she "wouldn't personally have packed it that way."  After at least a month (maybe 3), the dust settled, I asked them to use another service other than the one in Portland next time.  Not even a discussion for them.  Another cause Goodman so generously chooses to support that he so generously (/sarcasm) makes the customers burden.  Please check the Purple Planet forums on Backerkit to see how poorly they handled it and how callous they were about their supporters issue.  Joe's moral stance involves the retailers getting cut out and the customer handing the company money directly, so some kid in their customer service department can email snarky remarks to customers who are out over 400 bucks. (Please go to the Purple Planet backerkit forums.  There is a record there, even with them deleting some of my comments and those of other dissatisfied customers). Good job, Joe.  We ain't mischaracterizing s**t!!!</p></blockquote><p></p>
