GOODMAN GAMES TO PUBLISH CLASSIC JUDGES GUILD MODULES UPDATED TO THIRD EDITION RULES
Goodman Games is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with the legendary adventure publisher Judges Guild to publish updated versions of classic Judges Guild adventures. Beginning in January 2007, Goodman Games will publish the first three titles from the classic lineup: Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor, Citadel of Fire, and Dark Tower. All are fully updated to the 3.5 rules set by the dedicated team of Eostros Games, and feature new art and maps.
"Judges Guild has a historic place in the minds of many gamers," said Joseph Goodman, President of Goodman Games. "Many of the same fans who appreciate our Dungeon Crawl Classics adventures also love Judges Guild. They are great adventures, and it's time to bring them back into the spotlight."
"I am happy that so many find the classic Judges Guild products inspirational," said Bob Bledsaw, founder of Judges Guild. "May the wind at your back actually be 'the wind' and happy gaming. I look forward to the expanded and updated adventures."
"We are pleased to be part of this endeavor," said Greg and Kara Geilman of Eostros Games. "We hope that this will be the beginning of a great product line for us and Goodman Games. Our goal is to be true to the original, but with a more modern look and feel."
Scheduled for release in January 2007, Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor is the first of the updated adventures. This 64-page adventure for levels 10-12 features all the challenges of the original, updated to 3.5 rules by Robert S. Conley. Do your heroes dare to enter Fortress Badabaskor? Deadly brigands, vicious cultists, and the dusty treasures of the Dragon Kings await those with muscle, wit, and luck. Defeat these challenges to uncover the dark secret of Badabaskor – a secret that will challenge even the most experienced of adventurers...
Following in Q2 and Q3 are the next two releases: Citadel of Fire and Dark Tower. Both are updated to 3.5 rules and both include new episodes in the spirit of the original adventure, inspired by Bob Bledsaw's as well as Paul Jaquay's notes and original material.
Retailers will be able to order Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor in January under the Goodman Games listing as SKU code GMG4600.
Goodman Games is a publisher of role playing games, adventures, and accessories that celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. It is best known for its Dungeon Crawl Classics line of adventure modules, the longest-lived and most popular d20 product on the market.
