D&D 5E Goodman Games Treasure Chest

I have an opportunity to purchase the Goodman Games Treasure Chest adventure bundle.

I am looking for reviews/thoughts on the modules. I like all of the WotC material I've played so far such as HotDQ, OotA, CoS, and TotYP.

I would like to have adventures that I can run on the fly with little preparation. The WotC adventures do this for me.

Would I like this bundle?

It contains these adventures:

FEF1: Glitterdoom
FEF2: The Fey Sisters’ Fate
FEF3: The Pillars of Pelagia
FEF4: War-Lock
FEF5: Into the Dragon’s Maw
FEF6: Raiders of the Lost Oasis
FEF7: Fantastic Encounters
FEF8: Eye of the Leviathan,
FEF9: The Fallen Temple
FEF10: The Castle in the Sky.

I like the Goodman Games short modules quite a bit. It’s nice to have something that’s a little closer in length to the older modules. Don’t get me wrong, I too dig Wizards’ megamodules. But sometimes I don’t need to commit to an entire campaign to run a module. The shorter length definitely means less prep time.

They're not as cool and gonzo as the DCC modules, and lack the huge amount of art; but the ones I've read are good. I've not used any as of yet, tho. For a one off of like to run the oasis adventure, just cos it starts with the classic captured with nothing trope.

Thanks for replying.

Can you tell me about how easy they are to run with little preparation.

I like to skim an adventure ahead of time and then read along as we go.

Not really, as I haven't already played them. I also operate very differently from you, a though read and notes scrawled on a printed PDF or photocopied pages, so I'm not sure how they'd work for you. However, like most DCC modules, there is a lot of detail provided which gives interest and depth. Maybe that's not ideal for you?
