Theoretical Assumptions If it is for a column to be produced just once a month then I will also pitch and make a proposal. Title of Column: Theoretical Assumptions, or (if you prefer) Real Gaming Column Contents: The basic contents of the column Theoretical Assumptions will involve all aspects of gaming, but will concentrate upon game theory, development, and structure, in a wide of examination of venues and types. The column will discuss, but will not be limited to, subjects such as Adventuring, Campaigning, Design, Game Development, Game Mechanics, Game Play, Game Structure, Game Theory, Nature of Play, Relational Aspects between Game Theory and Gaming and Real Life, Refereeing, Scenario Development, etc. Basically anything and everything pertaining to gaming. The column will be slanted towards Role Play Gaming but will also cover Alternate Reality Gaming, Board Gaming, Internet Gaming, Parallel Reality Gaming, Video and Computer Gaming, Virtual Reality, etc, and possible future developments in those Industries. Occasionally I may also do product reviews, perhaps on a prearranged, cyclical basis. The intent of the column will be fourfold, to discuss issues of importance and interest in gaming, to advertise and increase social and business share in EN World as a place of general gaming expertise and interest, to promote stimulating, and perhaps even novel and unique theories in gaming, and to analyzing the way gaming and game theory can be usefully applied to real world advantage in real life. Addendum and Additional Considerations and Productions: I'll always meet my deadlines (assuming no personal disaster like a personal or family emergency), and will follow your formatting requirements. However, if I am chosen as one of the columnists then I will of course need to know exact formatting requirements, word counts, and everything else necessary to complete the column to your specifications. I desire as much foreknowledge as possible of what my editors desire in formatting structure whenever I write a piece or contribute a column. I usually prefer to beat my deadlines well in advance so that my editors can review content and so that there is plenty of time for corrections, if any are necessary. I can, by Sunday Evening (1/15/2012) produce a list of possible subject matter(s) for the next six to twelve months, and by the 20th of January I can produce a draft test copy of a possible column post for you to analyze. If more than one column, by more than one writer, is to be produced monthly then I can do cooperative and co-authored work as well. I can also write on particular subjects if you desire, or produce columns based on thematic content or special seasonal materials if you so wish. I just need advanced notification so that I can prepare the materials or do the appropriate research. I would also be open to writing on special subjects suggested by the EN World posters and contributors. I am not at all afraid of controversial and unusual subject matter, but I will not present such matter in an abrasive or disruptive manner. And, if possible, I would like to cross-link and/or cross-post the column to my personal and gaming bog, Facebook page, business page and/or any other appropriate venue of my internet presence. And I would like the right to advertise both the column and EN World through my social media and internet presence. Pay arrangements are negotiable, especially if cross marketing efforts are made. End of proposal.
