Apparently the creator used the Eye of Anubis (said to be able to see into the Underworld, through the lens), a gemstone found at the site of the Library of Alexandria by Napaleon and later donated and kept by Cathar priests in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, until acquired by the camera builder.
