One thing I'm curious about is balanced. Warhammer never went the whole "Everything must be balanced" theory. Heck, the starting careers were random and sometimes you had to spend 1K xp just to equal someone who rolled better than you. This doesn't take into account the races either. On Grim and Gritty feel... I don't buy it. I've played many a game of Warhammer and the system itself does not lend itself to that type of play. You get a dwarf with a good toughness and some armor and the GM has to get really lucky with the open ended rolls to finish him off. Not saying that it can't be done in that fashion but it was always more about mood and atmosphere than the rules themselves brining me up to... Is this going to be the Warhammer FRPG setting or the Warhammer Tabletop setting? While there are many similiarities, there are many more major differences, especially in the Empire itself where in the tabletop, the main ruler has a rune blade and rides a griffon while the tabletop has him as a nitwit. While I understand the book itself being non-d20, will any of the sourcebooks go dual statting? It's seemed to work for AEG and a few other publishers and as others have mentioned, much of the material has a direct d20 feel to it already and would make an excellent fit. WIll the core book still be a 'complete' book like the current one is? The fact that I can run a Warhammer FRPG with just the main book is a great thing. Any final decesions about the format? I always thought it was strange that Hogshead made the Realms of Sorcery book both hardcover and softcover but only had a softcover for the core book itself. Perhaps even a limited edition leatherbound in black with the symbol of chaos in gold?
