MUTANTS & MASTERMINDS SOLD OUT!
Revised Reprint Already in the Works

May 10, 2004—Seattle, WA: Green Ronin Publishing's hit superhero RPG, Mutants & Masterminds, has sold out. Since its debut at the end of 2002, Mutants & Masterminds has won multiple ENnie and Pen & Paper Awards and firmly established itself in the top tier of superhero RPGs. Its expanding line of support products includes Freedom City, Crooks!, and Nocturnals: A Midnight Companion.

"We took quite a gamble printing as many books as we did," said Green Ronin President Chris Pramas, "but Mutants & Masterminds has exceeded our wildest expectations. It has now outsold Death in Freeport by nearly 3,000 copies, which is quite a feat considering that was the first d20 book ever published."

A revised version of the core rulebook is already at print. It updates the book with the most current errata, and adds a detailed example of character creation. The second printing of the core book will be shipping with the Mutants & Masterminds Annual #1 in June.

AWESOME!

Awesome Awesome Awesome!

I flipped through this at the bookstore and was VERY impressed. Unfortunately, I don't have time to run a dedicated super-hero campaign. If there was some way to make it so that it can mesh with d20 modern or D&D, I'd pick it up in a second. Like, say, someone starts off as a Tough Hero, and eventually starts taking the Hero class (or whatever it's called) and goes from there gradually. But some of the rules in it didn't seem to mesh with standard d20 (and yes, I know it's OGL). Just a suggestion for the revised edition.

Thanks
Chris

Congrats! Now, how long until you get a DC or Marvel license? :)

Well, I could hope that since MURPG (mercifully) went down the tubes that it might be a possiblity, but I am not holding my breath.

FWIW, I'd rather not have M&M chopped up to fit into a regulation d20 outfit. M&M is just fine in the spandex & cape. :)

I'm not saying it should change.. I'm just saying there should be something (whether an online document or anything) to convert from standard M&M to d20. I'd love to use a lot of this in my d20m campaign, or even use some for D&D. I don't have enough time for yet ANOTHER campaign... The characters in the others level up slow enough as it is...

Great... this will be the THIRD M&M Core Rulebook I'll have.

I recently mislayed (or thought I lost) my M&M, so I ordered another one (I got a BIG fight to run end of July) and guess what I found a few hours after I got the e-mail that the book has shipped... Yes... my first rulebook :\

But I guess I'll buy the new version anyway.
