Is there a formal and official release date on this?

And is it not listed on the GR web site, or am I just blind and/or oblivious?

The book is in layout now and should be released towards the end of May. It was originally an April release but the manuscript came in a lot larger than we expected and its taken a little extra time to edit and develop. It's a very meaty book though!

Hal is currently trying to squeeze the words into the solicited page count; we'll see how that goes. It will not be changing to hardback. While I agree it'd be nice, we pick and choose our hardbacks carefully for reasons of cost and cash flow and it doesn't make financial sense for us to hardback Testament.
