Granting a magical vision to another character

We have a sorceress in our party who knows teleport but not scrying. This significantly limits the utility of teleport, so I'm trying to figure out if there's any spell, item, etc., that can grant a magical vision of an area to another character. A cleric spell would be ideal, but other options are worth considering as well.

This isn't so much for scry & fry (though that's a nice option), but just for general travel. If the party wants to travel to a city that the sorceress hasn't seen, we can't teleport there. The best we've come up with so far is to buy scrolls of scrying for the sorceress to use. They work, but they're 700gp each, and it might take more than one (if the target succeeds on its save).

Silent image?
Interesting. "This spell creates the visual illusion of an object, creature, or force, as visualized by you." Could you even create an illusion of a location? The description of persistent image makes it clear that the illusion doesn't have to be of just one object or creature, so I suppose you could create a silent image of an entire room.

Would that count as having seen the location for the purposes of teleport, though? Or would it be treated as a false destination (you try to teleport to the illusion you saw, which no longer exists)?

Perhaps the DM would let some form of telepathy work here? (In Steven Brust's Taltos novels, that's the standard way to do exactly this.)

We've always played it that the magical sensor transmits an image into the spell's focus, allowing anyone viewing that focus to see the image. When my cleric became priest of his own temple, one of the first things he did was to purchase an oversize 'widescreen' holy water font.
