Message: <blockquote data-quote="Badkarmaboy" data-source="post: 3899950" data-attributes="member: 39489">I once played in a very gritty, low magic campaign where we had to track all of our items down to each individual ration on a 3x5 card.  We even had a human leg card once...long story.  I would not normally do that myself, but the DM (a very talented DM at that) had a method to his madness and it worked out well for what he wanted to accomplish-he wanted us to cherish the little things...like legs.  Anyway, it was a tool to track what we had on hand and what we used between us, if it wasn't on a card it didn't exist.  If you wanted to use item x, if it wasn't in your stack, you were stuck.  Cards, whether they are for helping Players track a quest, ability, or spell, are not a bad thing by themselves-simply a tool.  I knew in the back of my head as soon as I read that Quest article that folks would start having a seizure over on the ol' ENworld boards (both pro and anti 4E).Seize on folks, the clonic phase is coming soon!</blockquote>
