Essentially, the higher you beat the Craft skill check DC, the more "benefits" you can add to an item, up to a total of 6 (which requires beating the skill check by 25+, and takes 20 times longer to craft). You can even stack the same benefit up to three times on a really good skill check (beat the DC by 15+). Many of the benefits mimic magical enhancements to the item being crafted (such as Accurate, which grants a +1 quality bonus to attack rolls) while others are new (like Decorative, which grants a bonus to Diplomacy checks). These masterwork benefits take the place of magic items in this low-magic campaign setting.</p></blockquote><p></p>
