Through out ones gaming time, they encounter many opponents, some presentign minor obstacles, some possesing the power to destroy entire worlds.

The poll is a simple one, who do you think is the greatest villian of all time. Please vote and give reasons.

I still think The Joker ranks as the top "simplistic" popular literature villain. Check the other post on this villain subject if you're interested in my reasoning.

However, I just thought of another villain that's not mentioned (at least I didn't see him on the poll)

Kaiser Soze! KAISER SOZE!!!!!!!!

He was the absolute MAN in The Usual Suspects .

I don't know if she would count, but Hera was pretty much the villain of the male-dominated Greek myths (I say male-dominated because the goddess was not alway villainous as she evolved over time). Then there's Set of the Egyptian pantheon, Ahriman of the Zoroasterinian pantheon (although there were only two gods in this belief system, each god was served by a coven of angels), and I could go on.

Anyway, just thought I'd add this stuff.

Well, its nice to see that people agree on who ISNT good villans. Those on 0%. Granted that its possible (but not requested) to vote for everyone.

Each person should be voting for only those who are most villianous... (is that a word?)... the most infamous villians.

The villians with the highest number of votes will be the greatest villian by popular support.
