Smear the stag up with poison, a good number of the doses, instead of a single dose. Now, get some of the elves to herd it toward the dragon. I realize that they wouldn't agree with using an animal as bait, but then again, you're getting rid of the dragon, who is a much bigger threat to them. If the dragon eats the deer, then he's going to ingest MANY doses of the poison, which would equate to either a HUGE DC, or a lot of saving throws. Statisticly speaking, he's going to fail one of them.</blockquote>
