green hag problem

First Post
the small group of three 6th level PCs has earned the enmity of a green hag a long time ago (when they were about 4th level) and she has followed them invisibly ever since in hopes to take her revenge. they have fought a few times, but she always turns invisible and retreats when the odds are against her.
the party consists of a 6th level monk, a 6th level fighter and most important, a 7th level sorcerer. they can probably buy magical help and supplies if they need.
The hag has gained 2 levels of fighter since their forth level encounter with her.
in what way would you as the party seek out the hag? what hooks can i give them to encourage them to find her or give them opportunities to find her?
Thanks in advance.

See Invisibility. If the Sor doesn't have it, he should probably spring for a wand, or enough potions for everyone in the party.

Since she can be invisible whenever she wants, there isn't really a way to track her down, so they have to wait for her to come to them.

The sorceror should pick up Dispel Magic as one of his spells, and drop it on the area whenever she vanishes. Alternatively, they should pick up Hold Person or some Tanglefoot bags and pin her down with them the next time they meet her. That way they can kill her and not have to worry about her slitting their throats in their sleep.

The greenhag might have taken company with some other hags, to establish a covey. This would give her access to the covey's minions (ogres, giants, etc), hag eye talismans, and covey powers such as animate dead, polymorph, and so on.

She might also have enjoyed the company of an ogre and now has a young annis daughter to contend with (if you subscribe to the ideas presented in "Ecology of the Greenhag" (DRAGON #125).

Ouch. don't forget your party is one member short of the standard 4 bodies.

Knowing what I do, I'd flee. I know she has 3 swings with a greatsword. The only way to see her is for the sorcerer to use a spell he does not have. Though, Glitterdust is one of the stronger 2nd level spells, not taking it when it is allowed is pretty foolish.

Her SR will foil most magic attacks on her. If she is wearing a chain shirt for even more AC, the party's combat attacks will fail.

You Don't. She has pass without trace at will. Also, thanks to "water breathing", she can sleep underwater foe up to 18 hours.

Does the sorcerer have a familiar? Many familiars have the scent ability. While you can't track a creature protected by pass without trace, it's doesn't say you can't locate it if it is in your vicinity through scent. Or get a bat.

the sorcerer has a hawk familiar.

i need them to have some way to find her and attack her instead of the other way around. if she finds them first she can surprise them and beat them without any problems. but if they have the possibility of preparing for the fight they have a much greater chance since they can stock on magical items like scrolls and potions ahead of the fight.

there are more powerful NPC wizards who can use scry (are there better spells for the job?) for them to try and locate her, but it will cost and it will only be useful if they act on the info they get immediately since she is moving around trying to find a leads about their whereabouts.

Have her fall prey to her own appetites in a classically villainous manner. Sure she could be living in the woods and sleeping at the bottom of lakes- but that's really not much fun, is it?

Have her sneaking into a town using Disguise Self in order to get drunk/seduce a local/gorge herself on food or whatever. But she gets careless and lets someone get a glimpse of her true form and rumors start to fly. The PCs get wind of this and need to get into town and find her before she finds them.
