Regarding Dark Wings:

I'm currently running a Freeport/Bleeding Edge campaign that includes the original Freeport trilogy, Tales, Crisis, and possibly Black Sails. I want to put Dark Wings in the rotation.

My question is: how necessary is it for Dark Wings to be set in the "5 years after" period as laid out in Pirates of Freeport?

The adventure centers around Finn, so it's pretty easy to adapt to the earlier era.
