The d20 Freeport Companion is now available in PDF in our Green Ronin Online Store. This massively crunchy tome brings you d20 rules for the people, monsters, magic, and more of Freeport, the City of Adventure. This is the last product we will do in support of the version 3.5 of the d20 System, so whether you're a fan of the system, the city, or both, you'll want to pick up this companion to Pirate's Guide to Freeport.

You may now also pre-order d20 Freeport Companion in print, to ship for delivery as close as possible to when the book will appear on store shelves.

As a special deal, if you order the print version of d20 Freeport Companion, upon checkout you'll be offered the PDF version at 50% off! To get this deal, make sure the print book in is your shopping cart when you check out, and then accept the special offer for the PDF when it comes up. (If you just put both the print and PDF versions in your shopping cart and check out, you will be charged full price for both.)

The PDF will also be available this week from RPGNow, DriveThruRPG, and the EN World store.

You seem to be saying, that no matter what your decision regarding 4e is, GreenRonin will not support 3.5 anymore, this is sad news to me.

I can't say I particularly blame them, though. At the level they operate, once the new edition comes out, unless there is a massive swell of support for 3.5 and super steady sales, it just doesn't make business sense to continue. Myself and other PDF publishers, we can take the risk, but if Highmoon was Green Ronin-sized, I would not do it either.

If Green Ronin chooses to support 4th edition, what do you think the odds are of a 4th Ed companion?
Actually, I think they already announced that they were planning on doing a 4th edition companion. It was sometime shortly after Gen Con Indy, I believe.

However, now that WotC has explained how the new license will work, and that getting early access requires the US $5,000 fee, Green Ronin has to wait and see if doing a 4th edition companion is feasible, IMO.

I think they will, but it's probably too early for them to "reconfirm" if they're going to do it or not.

Yeah, that's too bad, but I understand their reasoning. I'll simply have to be content to pick up their rules-free sourcebooks. I'm really looking forward to getting a copy of Cults of Freeport.
