Well it's 4:30 am here in Columbus, but I'm still on West Coast time and wide awake, so I might as well post a brief GR Origins update. Our booth is nicely positioned between Wizkids and WotC, so traffic has been good. The show followed the same pattern as last year, with a good start on Thursday, a slowdown on Friday, and a brisk Saturday. Fang & Fury: A Guidebook to Vampires debuted at the show, and Testament is also new. Both have been selling very well indeed. We've had Steve Kenson running Mutants & Masterminds demos and we've also been showing off a Crooks sketchbook. The MnM fans are incredibly enthusiastic about the game, which is quite gratifying. Time of Crisis author Chris McGlothlin has also been helping out at the booth, and he beams with pride whenever someone discovers the Primate Patrol for the first time. As we like to say at GR, everything is better with monkeys! I've been running demos of Torches & Pitchforks, our first card game, and designer John Snead has been running demos of Blue Rose, an upcoming fantasy game of ours that you'll be hearing a lot more about over the coming months. I've had only maybe an hour to walk around the exhibitor's hall so far, though I hope to rectify that later today. I got a brief look at Eagle Games WWII boardgame Attack!, which looks pretty sweet. I was also browsing some new Confrontation minis and the Xyston 15mm ancient Greeks from I-Kore. Not like I need more minis, but they are very tempting... Oh yeah, and the Origins Awards were last night. When they were over, my first thought was, "I sure am looking forward to the ENnies!" Thanks to everyone who has come by the booth. Hope to see many of you at GenCon.
