This free preview is just a sampling of the full book that will let you descend into the depths and learn the secrets of the wickedest race in the Underdark, the drow. Third in Green Ronin's Races of Renown series, Plot and Poison is a rules toolkit for players and gamemasters alike. Dragon Magazine editor Matthew Sernett delves deep into the heart of the drow, providing a book packed with new options. In addition to Races of Renown essentials like new spells, domains, prestige classes, magic items, and feats, Plot and Poison adds four new subraces, a complete drow pantheon, and power components, a new way to enhance spells. From the gorgeous cover from 3E concept artist Todd Lockwood to the detailed NPC stats of the appendix, Plot and Poison is your indispensable guide to elves you love to hate.

Praise and questions....

The preview looks good, and those illustrations are great. That display font is a little tough to read at times. I have some questions, though.

What's OGC in the book? If the deities are OGC then that could make the book popular as "official" d20 drow, methinks. It's hard to use WotC's drow just because of the deities being inaccessible to OGL publishing.

Don't bats form colonies (not flocks)?

Noting Bloody Dervish (great name), does the book contain Medium double weapons that can be used one in each hand by a drow? It's just that the ones in the PHB are all Large. Perhaps one of the new feats takes care of this problem?

Did Green Ronin get permission to use the martial arts styles format of Oriental Adventures, or is this something the general public can do?

That asked, does anyone think it's a bad idea to allow these "feats" to be acquired for free? Further, what's to stop a PC from getting say Poison Rain I and Poison Rain II in the same level? Once he or she has Poison Rain I, he or she may immediately qualify for, and therefore acquire, Poison Rain II, correct?

Thanks!
