Greyhawk: Looking for Planar Chess

I'm looking for information about planar chess. Specifically, the rules.

I think this may have been printed in Dragon Mag, but I'm not sure.

Anyone know where to look?

Thanks,

Gygax invented another chess game, Fidchell, for the Aerth setting in Dangerous Journeys. It was a shogi-like chess variant, but one of its features were "gates" on the board to the underworld, abyss, land of fey, etc. through which bonus pieces could be summoned.

If that's the one you're interested in, then AFAIK the only complete rules are in Epic of Aerth.

Perhaps Dragon Chess might work.

I'm looking for something that he wrote about in one of his novels about Gord... at one point Gord goes to the prison of Tharizdun and is asked to play Planar chess...

I thought I had seen at one time that there were rules for this, but I may have mixed it up in my mind as Dragon Chess...

Anyhow, I'm looking for the other if it exists.
