Grim & Gritty. Who's used it?

I was looking at Ken Hood's pdf and wondering if anyone has used the rules for their campaigns. Currently I am DM-ing a FR: Silver Marches 3e campaign which I think is too high magic to work for Gr & Gr. My next 3e campaign was going to be in a lower magic world (no permanent magic item creation feats, limited spellcasting classes, etc.). I'm wondering if Gr & Gr might be workable to add some realism. Your thoughts?

BTW, for those unfamiliar with these rules:

I've used Grim & Gritty on a test basis. My players didn't care for it overly much; it's best for low ARMOR campaigns campaigns as well as low magic, as armor makes characters virtually immune to mundane, low-level attacks. Here's an example from our test session. The players fought a hatchling dragon, and in order to hurt any of them, it had to trip them to get a +4 bonus to try to penetrate their armor with! That's why he has gun rules as well. :)

What I would recommend would be trying a practice session out with your players. If they like them, go for it! Otherwise, try a different system.
