Within GT you have a number of options that let you control how fast action points regenerate, how deadly Massive Damage is etc. You can strap essentially anything on. I have used or seen used 4 different magic systems with GT. There may be some chiseling to get it to fit, but it shouldn't be excessive. The key with magic in GT is that is should hurt, the caster. Magic is rare but still powerful, but there should be a risk to cast it.
