Wow...some of those collctive nouns are better than anything we could manage... A flange of baboons : Isn't this an integral part of the internal combustion engine? A sleuth of bears & a sloth of bears : So, a lazy private eye? A volery of birds : Isn;t that where voles come from? A singular of boar : WTF? The collective for boars is singular? Who makes up this stuff? A chain of bobolinks : A bobochain, surely? A rabble of butterflies : I get this image of butterflues with mohawks and bad attitudes, hurling Molotov's at the Berlin Wall. A clutter of cats : Only if stuffed and left around the house. A kindle of kittens : That is SICK ! Too evil even for me ! A flight of cormorants : Hence, shagged out after a long flight. A leash of deer : Ah, yes. Have you ever treid to leash-train a deer? Ver bad. A piteousness of doves : What's this guy got against doves? A raft of ducks : Yes, but you need to nail then together pretty tightly. A business of ferrets : The mind boggles. Possibly they run the Mafia? A cast of ferrets : If well trained, they can do an adorable rendition of Hamlet. A horde of gerbils : Now this, at least, is accurate. They ravage across Africa even now, pillaging whatever they can fit in their lil cheeks. A tower of giraffes : Tallest. Building. Ever. An implausibility of gnus : I think I'll write my thesis on this. A bloat of hippopotami : See; Diseases of the Pachyderm, Volume XII, Book 7, Part 2, Chapter 177. A cry of hounds & a mute of hounds : They're doing it again ! A smack of jellyfish : Either a slimy, revolting new designer drug, or the latest addition to international pro wrestling. An ascension of larks & an exaltation of larks : This guy had a real 'thing' for larks, it seems. A stud of mares : But... mares...female...stud...male... male horse... singular...ARRGH ! A movement of moles :Wait for it... wait for it... it'd be an... underground movement ! A parliament of owls : Justlike a human parliament, the members eat live mice and can turn their heads 180 degrees. A huddle of penguins : It gets kinda cold down there... A parcel of penguins : You can get then through mail order now? A rookery of penguins : But...rooks...uhhhhh...my brain.... A coterie of prairie dogs : And vampires. Oooh, vampire prarie dogs... A gaze of raccoons : New power for medusae? A rhumba of rattlesnakes : Why not a conga, while we're at it? A down of sheep : A system of a... A hurtle of sheep : If you push them down a good slope with a nice run up... An ambush of tigers : Perfect. A warren of wombats : Lesser known cousin of Tarzan. A zeal of zebras : Obviosuly, Favoured Class : Paladin.
