“Settlers of Catan 10th Anniversary 3-D Limited Edition Treasure Chest”
First published by Kosmos in 1995 and ultimately licensed worldwide by Mayfair Games, Klaus Teuber’s Settlers of Catan gained international acclaim and recognition from its inception when it was granted the prestigious Spiel des Jahres (German Game of the Year). Recipient of the Origins Award, Games 100 Award, and, most recently, inducted into the Games Magazine Hall of Fame, this highly popular, multi-player game of colonization and resource management remains to this day among the pinnacle of Euro-style board games.
In the wake of its 10th anniversary, Mayfair Games commemorates this momentous and joyous event by releasing a special, limited edition “Treasure Chest” packed with all the components needed for 3-4 players to immerse themselves into the world of Settlers of Catan and its expansion, Cities & Knights. This edition boasts three-dimensional, hand-painted tiles comprised of heavyweight resin and a complete interlocking border, plus each player is granted a complete set of hand-painted settlements, cities, metropolises, city walls, knights, and roads. The Merchant marker, Barbarian Ship and the three Robbers are also fully sculpted and hand-painted in fine resin, while Resource, Development, and Commodity cards are finely crafted in full-color casino stock and stored in three small, vacuum-formed plastic trays. Plus, with Hex number markers formed of clear plastic disks, view of the beautiful terrain is unobstructed. Additionally, all of the components are stored in a special hardwood, treasure chest-style case designed to keep your set safe and secure, with a special slotted level with felt-lined slots to hold each hex.
