Generic Universal Role Playing System, GURPS for short. Any setting imaginable can be played with this system. In my case I'm looking for players to saddle up for a weird wild west campaign set in an alternate earth. There will be the usual cowboys and Indians action, plenty of trains to be robbed and cattle to drive, but this is Arystrahl. It's the American continent but a few things are different. The Divide, a huge band of turblent lightning storms and supernatural winds, stretches from the great lakes down to the Florida panhandle making westward expansion all but impossible for the Republic of Arystrahl for over a hundred years. The Republic built up megacities to accomodate the ever growing population, industrialized and mechanized with innovative new technologies making advances in the field of medicine and robotics with the use of "power crystal" tech. It is pure steampunk society along the eastern seaboard. Eventually rails were built heading out thru The Divide using the most advanced tech available. That was 25 years ago. Now the West is the new frontier, settlements and rails forge on towards the pacific coast, though that has already been colonized by the Chinese. Eastern tech fails after passing thru the divide so things are a little rougher west of The Divide. I'm looking for gunslingers, Indian scouts, kung fu masters, cowboys, and any other hombres tough enough to make it out West. GURPS is a great system, don't be intimidated if it's new to you. I'm looking for experienced roleplayers and interested new players. The game will be story driven and roleplay is a must, but there will be plenty of rough and tumble action to enjoy as well. Post a reply if interested and/or send me a private message.
