Hail to the King of Alisander!

With the deaths of Lord Nadam and Iss'ul (Ordiss Ool) in the online game, and the crowning of Alexander as king, it will be interesting to see what type of era this change will bring about.

I think Al-Nasim, ruler of Ingara, has a lot to worry about - especially now that there are no legitimate powers backing him up anymore.

Man, I'm so excited. I haven't been excited about the future like this for a long, long time. Awesome things are on the horizon. :D

I think so too. I see a lot of wars brewing, but I can also see a lot of brightness ahead. Alexander's devotion to wisdom and knowledge (he has A LOT of knowledge skills) will likely bring about a renaissance of scholarship not seen in ages in Lamapacher. This will probably bring about far-reaching after-shocks on all horizons. Those who slavishly defend the status-quo will have quite the fight ahead of them as King Alexander introduces new religious and social ethics to Alisander.

King Alexander also has excellent resources at his disposal. Issic would make a fantastic general; Zografos is the hub of the greatest network of intelligence known on Inzeladun right now; Phaidon is the equivalent of the special forces - I could see him in command of the scouting functions; and India is especially suited for diplomacy and public relations. Right now he is also enjoying public approval.

The world is in for some drastic changes, of that, there's no doubt. I'm looking forward to every bit of it!

Won't be long before the usurpers and would-be queens start coming outta the woodwork. ;)

That'll be so awesome if we actually unite Ingara and Lamapacher into one huge Ingara as Nadam suggested. :)

If we can all figure what everyone wants to do in the two months of "downtime", I can add it to the writeup Wednesday or Thursday night.

Phaidon wants to above all else, spend some quality time with India (lots of it). :) He wants to get Antaeus and Axylus restored (which I think Alexander can do). Other than that, he wants to help out Alexander as much as he can. He could lead some excursions to scout the areas surrounding Alisander and find out why trade has stopped and some-such.

One thing we need to keep in mind is that the razing of Ta'akrinat will occur in about 1 month. I'm sure that blast will be able to be seen all the way to Drychtnoth. We should be able to feel the heat in Alisander. It should screw up the weather for a week or two I'd think. It was a 5 mile radius fireball after all...

The Reluctant King

I am really interested to see what I end up doing too! This came as a really big surprise to me and beyond the organizational changes I made to the government (which I originally planned for Ingara) and a couple public works projects I am going to need some time to think about what needs to be done.

Along those lines, do you have any information on Alisander beside what is on the web site? Also, I think I am going to bring in scholars from the temple of Athena to he me pour over Nadams library and search the palace. So when you have a spare minute can you let me know what they find?

BTW, what happened to Nadam's advisors and servents? Is the capt of the city guard that we met before still alive? If he is I would like to here what he has to say about the city.

The advisors (as well as the all-female guard force for the main palace) were all imprisoned, and are now free and working for you, including the captain of the city guard.

I will dig out my notes on Alisander (currently in a box in the attic, as this city was created by a former player in 1985 or so) and see what additional information I can give you.

Nadam's library is a grand library with two additions; all totalled, they hold nearly 5,000 volumes. The main library is focused on Spellcraft, with an emphasis on spell research and magical creatures (any research done on this focus gains a +30 bonus to the related skill check). It's secondary focus is on Knowledge (Planes) (any research done on this focus gains a +15 bonus to the related skill check). The first addition is a secondary focus addition, with emphasis on Knowledge (geography) (any research done on this focus gains a +15 bonus to the related skill check). The second addition to the library is another secondary focus, with an emphasis on Knowledge (religion) (any research done on this focus gains a +15 bonus to the related skill check). The library includes many common, uncommon, rare and even a few legendary tomes.

HUZZAH! Let's hear it for libraries! :)

Wouldn't it be cool if Nadam had a copy of the Anistograph of Heck and nobody knew about it. ;)

Nah, too easy. :)

Don't forget that my background for Rogan Josh (the epic character that never was!) involved stealing important works from Alisander libraries and replacing them with inaccurate forgeries.

Use this info as you see fit . . . :]

Have them brief me on how Ool took over and ask them what they think is most important to restore the city back to normal.

If it would be easier for you to copy stuff and mail it to me then it would be to type it I can email you my address. Just let me know.
