Half-dragon/dragon disciple

Marauder_POV

First Post
Just been looking at the Dragon disciple prestige clas and the Half-dragon template info thats out on the web. Has anyone figured out how to do this with 4e?

I'm reasonably new to this so i'm not sure how to proceed. Basically my PC is a Half-Elf Bard who is actually half dragon (Mother was a Song Dragon) but the PC doesn't know it.

The progression of the Dragon Disciple prestige class is pretty much what i want, but since wizards hasn't got round to it yet I was wondering if anyone else had?

Best way to do it, at least with your current setup - Multiclass or hybrid into Dragon Sorcerer. Make a strategic choice of PP - probably Dragonsoul Heir or Dragon Guardian. Then refluff as needed.

For things like flight, that you can't get through Dragon Sorcerer, get magic items and refluff them as being innate parts of your character. An enchanted dagger could EASILY be a natural claw and/or bite attack, et cetera.

Seems like a paragon path would make sense, and there are a few out there already that could fit the bill, or be tweaked, like Scion of Arkhosia, Dragon Guardian, and Dragonsoul Heir.

Alternatively, maybe just switch race to dragonborn, and take the Scion of Arkhosia PP? You reskin the dragonborn as a "half-elf" who slowly starts to manifest draconic powers, first things like dragonbreath, later followed by wings and such.

The two PPs I mentioned only require you to be a Dragon Sorcerer.

The Scion of Arkhosia PP DOES require you to be a dborn, though.

EDIT: Mentat55's suggestion of a race switch could work out.
