OK, so I'm running D&D 3.5 again, and I'm finally taking advantage of the half dragon template. The PC's (there are 7) are 6th level, part of a mercenary company, and have been running some scout missions for a couple of sessions. Magic Items are rare except for potions, scrolls and wands. A little backstory now.... A White Dragon got tired of driving off dragon hunters and enslaved a goblin tribe. He then began a breeding program with the goblins (both breeding with them himself and breeding them for specific traits. The youngsters were also actively trained, either for an appropriate class, or to rule if they were half dragons. over a couple of hundred years, his sway has increased, taking over more goblinoid tribes, Hobgoblins, Bugbears, and even some Ogre and Hill Giant tribes. Now, having conqured most of the wild tribes in the mountains, his forces are moving into the hills right up against the border country the PC's Mercenary company has been hired to protect from the yearly raids by the wild goblinoid tribes. Of course what the PC's have found on their scouting forays isn't what they expected. So far they have only run into one dragon blooded (from Unearthed Arcana) goblin, but they did find and talk to the former goblin cheif who told them that the scaly white goblins had stolen his tribe from him so they've pretty much got the idea. So later today their camp will be overrun by goblins, running from standard through dragon blooded, through half dragon, reinforced by some odder creations. 3 sets of half dragon goblin rangers and their brothers (half dragon dire badgers used to tunnel right up into camp at night). A half dragon Ogre Barbarian 1 Bard 2 to raise goblin morale, and a lot of more standard combatants. The half dragon goblin wizard will be about 400+ feet from camp just long enough to ice storm the 2 watch towers, then will leave. I guess what I'm looking for is more ideas that are a little off the wall like the half dragon Ogre Bbn1/Brd2. She's not at all bright (except compared to standard ogres maybe) but she found an old book, The Amazing Adventures of Someguy the Bard (I forget the name right now) and has trained as a bard since. She wears a poorly made (from old velvet curtains) multicolored suit of courtiers garb about 200 years out of date, Her charisma is not bad (12 I think) and she put all of her perform ranks into perform : comedy and will inspire her allies with bad comedy and insults (int 6 If I recall). And I do mean BAD comedy. Probably the first silly thing that pops into my head. It doesn't matter, the Goblins will eat it up. So anyway, If anyone has some odd ideas for half dragon monsters that range from a CR3 to maybe CR14 let them fly here. I'm not averse to funny or weird stuff happening in my game, and no Ideas are too oulandish for me to use. Just a breif description might inspire me. Thanks, Chris
