[QUOTE="Henry, post: 6499409, member: 158"] I'm game. Elwyn Shoa Male Human Fighter (Neutral Good) Lvl 1 Fighting Style - Great weapon Fighter S 16 D 12 C 14 I 14 W 10 Ch 8 AC 14 (Chain Shirt plus Dex) HP 12 (1d10+2) Saves: Str+5; Dex+1; Con+4; Int+2; Wis+0; Cha-1 FEATS: Polearm Master Weapon: Quarterstaff +5 (1d8+3 dmg, reroll 1s and 2s, must take 2nd result) Bonus action: butt end of staff, +5 (1d4+3 dmg, reroll 1s and 2s, must take 2nd result) Special: creatures provoke op attack when they enter my reach Ranged Weapon: light Crossbow +3 (1d8+1 dmg, 80/320 range, loading, 2-handed) Armor: Chain Shirt Skills: acrobatics+3; athletics+5; investigation+4; arcana+4; history+4 Languages: Common, Elf, Draconic, Goblin Background Feature: Researcher (know where to find the answers) Elwyn is a member of an exclusive order of Sages (e.g. The Scribes of Candlekeep) but in truth is quite young and one of their most recent members. He is a voracious reader, ecstatic to see the most trivial new text if it's new to him and contains some small but of lore. He has been turned out of his order of sages because his adventurous heart caused quite a stir of trouble for his brethren, who were only too happy to get rid of him after his most recent mishap ruined twelve ancient scrolls in an attempt to uncover a hidden treasure map. He has a copy of this map with him, and intends to see its discovery through. He claims to have read some of the world's rarest tomes, quoting many from memory, but because of his youth and inexperience, his "omniscient" attitude has gotten him a comeuppance more than once. He is completely self-taught as a warrior, having read dozens of training manuals and treatises on combat, and long-dead adventurer's journals filled with derring-do and fancy, succeeding partly on luck and partly on an innate talent for quick physics calculations. If he were to advance, i'd probably go Battlemaster, flavoring his abilities as physical observations, re-enacting training diagrams in manuals from memory, etc. he'd be a good candidate for feats such as keen mind, ritual caster, possibly magic initiate, but that might take him away from his core theme.
