Halo might have a Director!

IESB reports that during the junket for "King Kong" in New York an interesting story has started to develop.

After weeks of speculation one possible director for the film adaptation of the megahit videogame "Halo" is no other than Guillermo Del Toro ("Hellboy", "Blade 2", "The Devil's Backbone").

Word is that Del Toro is currently in negotiations with Peter Jackson to take directing duties. If Jackson does hire Del Toro that would force a delay on the upcoming sequel of Hellboy which had a first draft script was turned in recently to Revolution Studios.

Whoa! Del Toro may be most famous for the ones you mentioned, but he also directed Cronos, my all-time favorite vampire flick. If he directs Halo, this may be the first videogame movie I see since Mortal Kombat came out.

On the other hand them teaming up could be good for AtMoM since PJ seems to have clout to stick to souce material & if they start working together... I would love to see WETA do the city & the shoggoth.

Or it could wind up being a Fanboy ego Vs. Fanboy ego fallout of cyclopian porportions.
