Unfortunately, we seemed to have had a butter spill from the holiday bread puddings we baked to give away, so as the oven was warming up, the spilled butter actually ignited, giving us a smoke cloud that threatened to set off the alarms again for the third Christmas in a row (long story), so we had to open the door to let the smoke- and the puppy who had never seen snow- out. Turning off the oven let things cool enough to let the fire go out, but that still left me with a roast to cook.Fortunately, we have a tabletop roaster that seems to have handled it juuuuust fine. Soon, the spinach will be ready, and dinner will be in my crosshairs.Merry Christmas, all!</blockquote>
