Message: <blockquote data-quote="Balgus" data-source="post: 2897562" data-attributes="member: 8113">not a dadMy Father's day was lackluster- but my dad enjoyed it, so I can t complain.My family is huge- 9 plus parents.  So every gathering is a challenge.  Every year, it is usually up to me to call and plan everything.  This year, one brother has to work, another said he might be able tomake it, another is caught on the east coast and cant make it to LA, one sister is a principle and cannot take this last weekend off because Summerschool starts soon and she has to work, one brother loves his friends ans asked if they can come too. When I told him it was a family affair, he got offended and decided not to come.  My two younger brothers and one older sister were the only ones who were definite yes.  And then my dad decided that the hassle was too much. My mom then took him out to dinner alone and we called off the whole thing.  I am happy that my dad had a quiet dinner with my mom, but it is sad to know that our family, who have been so close, finally broke apart. We have spent almost every major holiday together for as long as I could remember.
