Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dannyalcatraz" data-source="post: 9129047" data-attributes="member: 19675">That didn’t quite happen to me.  Instead, I had a 4 month period in which my Volvo 850 was hit 4 times in 4 months.The first was a semi that kicked up a fallen aluminum ladder into the front of my car while on the highway.  A couple weeks later, before I could get an appointment at the body shop, I was rear ended at a stoplight.After those two repairs were made, I was hit going through an intersection on green by someone turning left.  We stopped to exchange insurance info, but before the process was completed, she just left.  Turns out, it was a stolen car, and the insurance info she Garvey me was all bogus.But the best was yet to come…Just two weeks after getting my car back from that repair, I had to go to downtown Dallas to file some papers at the courthouse.  I took Mom with me, promising that after that quick errand, we’d hit one of our favorite seafood restaurants.  As we were approaching the freeway exit I needed, we hit a slowdown in the traffic…and suddenly found ourselves looking at the sky!  We had been rear ended by a Cadillac STS still going 40MPH faster than we were, causing us to pop a wheelie and land with my engine in the trunk of the taxi in front of us.  My car was now several feet shorter than it had been, but we were unharmed.Mom was in shock, though.  For several minutes, all she could say was “Un-f*****g-believable!” with varying cadences and syllabic emphases.According to the police, the Caddy was being driven by a young lady borrowing her mom’s car- she had been clipped by a jackass in a Jeep and lost control, causing a chain reaction accident with us in the middle.  My car was totaled that time.  I did manage to file my paperwork, but we didn’t go to the restaurant.BONUS: the exit I needed to take was a high-rise interchange.  Because I’m scared of heights, that one is always a nervous endeavor for me.  My subconscious decided to add my accident and my phobia to give me night terrors for a month afterwards.</blockquote>
