Have you looked into Life Alert? It's an option also. My mom has spells where she falls on occasion. Luckily she hasn't had too many. My aunt was in a different hospital when I went to the ER because she fell down the stairs at her home. She broke her arm and a few vertebra, I was told. I started having the pain that eventually lead to the weakness in my leg before my vacation from ENW. I'd say since the weakness starts I've had one good fall a week. I almost had one at work last night, and a couple in the parking lot. I managed to recover before falling. I had to cut back to one route. The other route had too many stops where I had to get out and walk. One was multiple floors of an apartment building. That route pays better. I'm making less than half what I was making before, which wasn't much. Another thing I'm grateful for my mom being here. I had been paying all the bills. For now I need some help. If this is long term, I'm thinking of trying for disability. I can still work part-time while on disability. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. I'm trying to stay optimistic. This is just temporary. The other stuff seems to have improved. The weakness was one of the last issues to manifest. There is one other problem that's too embarrassing too talk about. I'll say things are not "moving" like they should. I'd like to blame the pain meds, but I've read spinal stenosis can affect that stuff too. I'm sorry guys. I'm sure this is not a fun topic to talk about. It's helping me, though. I've needed someone to talk to. I've had this pain in my back before. It lasted much longer this time. It also had other things happen that are related. This time it's scaring me. While I can hope it's all temporary, I need to prepare myself for if it's long term or even permanent.
