Doesn't quite have the same ring to it as "Happy Xmas", does it?
:\ Seems like a rather pointless holiday personally...nothing wrong with valuing the fairer gender and all but it seems excessive, in a extremist-seventies feminist way. Why not have a orange-colour furniture day, whilst we're at it?

I'm not sure I approve of this solution, but Russia indeed has one: There is a Men's Day in Russia--Feb 23rd. Officlally it's a day devoted to the Russian Army (in which all men are officially required to serve for 1-2 years), but unoffcially it's a counterpart to Woman's Day.

Hey -- this board doesn't do politics. So, if you don't believe in IWD, don't post to this thread. Also, if you're a man and you don't find the holiday useful... I don't think making your satisfaction/utility high priority is really supposed to be an attribute of the day.
That said, I'd like to ask for another, more personal festival to be honoured alongside it. So, those not able to say anything nice about IWD can wish me a happy "Fusangite's Been Single For Exactly Nine Years Day."
