What a lame comment man, really... You know how much strong good ale I have gotten out of this recipe? Man I am constantly drunk and having a ball. HârnManor was it for me, the way to have fun, not Greyhawk or Scarred Lands. ;) You game as a lord? If you do then this is it no matter how dull it may seem to those "unenlightened". Otherwise stick to your swords and sorcery stuff, you don't need it there, that is a fact. HârnManor is of course for those gaming lords or making up manors with this fact in mind. Some do you know, even if there are few of us. Then again I also game swords and sorcery. In the abyssal and celestial gaming with a touch of no-right, then yes they never pay taxes. However even in Forgotten Realms or Hârn kingdoms, cities and and even villages must pay taxe for soldiers, officials, and others to exist. Hell, no city would survive without taxes. Adventurers should pay taxes in some way or another. At the gate or the hand of a corrupted DM makes no difference, taxes must be paid. <evil grin> I have a better one. Look up in the employment office the work labeled adventurers. Tell me how many applications you need to fill out. I would love to be an adventurer. Instead I have to get up five in the morning to get to my work. Damn if I only was an adventurer and slayed dragons for a living that would be great. What school do I have to go to to become one...? To getting to the real part here since 99% of the above was asked and given in jest. Hârn has all these things including an abyss. What Hârn does however better than most, if not all, is to make it more believable and add spice such as HârnManor for those wanting to game with such devices. Far better than gaming the same stuff all over for the umptenth time. BTW, the d20 Hârn Guide that CVT is working on for S&S will be released after summer. But why wait? For thsoe who never seen it try out Shane's guide. Address above in his Shadow of Bukrai posting.
