I have to say - very disappointed. I wouldn't reccomend it seeing it. Why? They added/extened stuff that was unneccessary (dragon clawing roofs of Hogwarts? Huh? Horntails can't fly!) and did a poor job what should have been pivitol moments. ACCIO FIREBOLT! was more like accio firebolt can I have a cup of tea ho hum. And the final duel/test of wills could have been so much better - if you hadn't read the book, I'm not sure you would have had a clue what was going on. And so easy to make it all clear, and add tension - Its a freakin' tug of war - focus on Vol. concentrating - show junction-point move to Harry, Harry's wand start to vibrate - Harry focuses, grimaces, junction point starts to move, focus on Voldy's expression of disbelief, effort, harry struggles, junction points moves back to Voldy's wand, it starts to smoke. Instead, we had some flashing lights and what looked like colored shaving cream, and then the ghosts showed up. So many, in my mind, important details cut or changed. The Death-Eaters at the World Cup - they were not randomly destroying - they were tormenting Muggles. That was the point! And they scattered when the Dark Mark appeared, out of fear! And they groveled before Voldy and kissed the hem of his robe, not looked him in the eye. And the maze? What was Dumbledore's cryptic comment? And no guardians? Just the maze randomly grabbing you or closing? It would have been cool seeing Harry face a boggart, amoung other things. And we never saw the Maurader's Map, which was another clue as to what was going on. Rita Skeeter started to be an annoyance, but that plot was dropped like a rock. *sigh* Just a very disappointing movie. It could have been so much better, instead of so very mediocre.
