I'm only reading this thread because "4e" is in the title.

Guilty too.

Our group is on Hiatus for a few months, so the interest on rules and opinions have given way to anticipation of 4E. I can hardly see going back to 3.5 if 4E were coming out sooner. I hope we win the playtester lottery.

The lack of interest started shortly after hearing 4E was announced. First I didn't care/plan to change, now the switch is almost certain for me. Fortunatly our group seems to all be on board.

To my mind the rules forum has been dead for a long time now. Except for the occasional new question from a brand new supplement, the rules have been argued to death by now. Newbies come in and ask the same old questions, people continue to argue the same debates convincing no one of their side.

Whenever a new book comes out, you get a brief resurgence where new questions are asked, but other than that there isn't a lot of new info going on anymore. Once 4e comes about that will change drastically. This forum will likely be the most popular, as we start going through the system and hammering out the details.

I agree. I used to visit the D&D rules a lot more often, but in the past year or so not much interesting was in it, so I concentrated on the General, D20 System and the Media forum.

But since D&D 4 was announced, I visit EnWorld a lot more frequently, and I also post a lot more than before...

I'm not exactly disinterested in 4e, but I'm not really enthusiastic either. With all it's shortcomings, I like the 3.5 system. I'm still only paying any real attention to the House Rules, though...
