Have the Gazneth ever been converted?

No, but they are probably the most requested conversion I've seen on the various D&D boards in the past few years.

This is a conversion of a monster for a game that I'm a player in, so I can't really do it myself.

I won't be ... I'll be pretty much just referring him to the links. I'm a since inception 3e experienced player in a group where the DMs and the other players only have about 6 months of 3e experience.

well, i suppose i shall hit upon them eventually, but to be honest i'm not in any big hurry to do so. even if he wanted them in a hurry, that wouldn't be happening - i'd have to drop all the other stuff i'm working on to have those done by say the end of the year.
