The first time I went I was in the fifth grade with the school safety patrol. My buddies and I rode Space Mountain and one of my friends vomited on everyone sitting behind him during the ride. Too many foot long hot dogs. They were pulling chunks of partially digested dogs out of their hair for a long while. I laughed til I nearly puked. We had a blast. I loved it. The next time my great aunt and uncle took me. I got second degree burns over most of my body during the trip down due to an accident. They wanted to hospitalize me, but I begged and refused (luckily it was my aunt and uncle and not my parents). Since it wasn't a gas burn or anything, but from exposure I talked them into letting me sleep all day in the rooms. Drank a lot, stayed naked, doctored myself. Lot of aloe baths. I partially recovered during the stay. We stayed at the Polynesian Hotel (or whatever it was called), I don't remember much cause I could only go out at night due to the fact that the sun tortured my burned areas. I never even went to the pool cause I knew what the chlorine and sun would do to me. I remember a lot about the nights though, and the fireworks. It was a good trip anyways, but kinda rough. But that was through no fault of the park. I went once with my parents as a teenager and thoroughly enjoyed that too. My old man gave me a set of unused tickets from that visit back in the seventies just the other day. Been seven times in all. Last time in my late twenties. My bets experiences were as a teen and in my twenties when I could wander away from the parties and hotels and restaurants and people I was with, especially at night, and go vad the still under construction areas, sneak across the golf course, to the waterways, visit the empty rides, etc. That to me was as much if not more fun than the rides and the sights. I liked Epcot Center myself. Also while on a couple of trips I went over to some NASA facilities and had a ball there too. It's a fascinating place. Last time I went was a long time ago, I'm sure much has changed. Gonna take the kids and wife soon too. Talking 'bout that with the wife just the other week. I highly recommend it. If you got kids you'll all have a blast. I'd go off season, stay in one of the smaller places, ride the monorail a lot, tour the whole joint. Especially to the less visited areas. It's big. And can be expensive. But a helluvah good experience. Go and enjoy yourself.
