I have met a number of celebrities and notables. I had the luck of growing up with a well known golfer for a grandpa. Some of the more interesting people in sports I have met have been Arnold Palmer and Jack 'the golden Bear' Nicklas. I felt bad cause after shaking Jacks had he didn't win a turny for about 7yrs :( ...probably just a coinidense. Magic: I met Lance Burton in Vegas and I must say he is one of the nicest celebrities I ever met. He is still a regular guy despite his fame. If you ever meet him ask him about 'the Copperfield' incident. Star Trek: George Takei was in town for a Star Trek con and I met him after he had been out running that morning. He was not only nice ..but he was willing to talk about just about anything. At the time he was writing his book and I asked him about that. Magic: Copperfield is waaay skinnier in person than on stage but he was prety cool to meet and talk magic with. He is willing to help you if you need it. Forgot to get the autograph ..as ususal. I have to say most of the Celebs I have met have been very good people when i met them...but part of that could be that I was more interested in them than just gettting an autograph. Matial Artists: Steven Segal before he got famous....man he hits hard during sword practice. Chuck Norris is or was a nice guy when I met him. He was teaching us ground fighting techniques and talked about Bruce Lee. Dan Insanto first student of Bruces and a really cool guy as well. Man that guy knows allot about fighting. Oh and a word of advice if you ever meet Penn & Teller.....be prepared for anything. Those guys are truely unique. Penn is really into computers and he plays an occasional game of D&D. He said that he liked NWN he played it til he beat it. The best advice my Grandfather gave me about meeting celebrities is to treat them like people not objects or icons. Maybe that is why I always forget to get those autographs. Darius
