Have you ever killed a player by mistake?

Tell me Green Slime, do your posts always make less sense than the posts they criticize? Or just occasionally?

Okay, the thread is about killing people, specifically gamers. (i.e. It is an off-topic thread that has nothing to do with roleplaying - although unfortunately a load of people keep on trying to threadjack it into a discussion about character deaths. For some reason, the moderators have neither moved it into the off-topic forum, not warned people about the thread-jacking, but then I guess that's an issue of policy and custom, and I am a bit of a newbie here so what would I know?)

Green Slime was referring to a post where someone was talking not about killing gamers, but about killing PCs.

I'm guessing that Green Slime (like me) is British, because over here, PC is generally assumed to stand for either "politically correct" or "police constable". Clearly, only the latter has any meaning in a discussion about killing real people.

I did back in second edition. It didn't seem like it was going to happen, but he actually managed to fall off a mountain the group was climbing. Kersplat.

Now I don't want to be rude, but it's people like you that give roleplaying a bad name. It's called "table-top" roleplaying for a reason - YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO PLAY IT ROUND A TABLE. If you want to sit on sofas, then that's fine. Play in a games shop? Okay by me.

But when people start playing "games" that involve climbing up mountains, or - as in one celebrated (alledged) case from the '80s - going down sewers, well it's the sort of thing that can reflect very badly on the hobby as a whole.

Especially if, as in this case, someone dies.

Well... To be honest, I was tired and so I forgot. ;)

But now I've come back to take care of it. *swoosh*
