I'd spent a year and a half trying to find a playgroup, and all I could get was the occasional PFS game when a con or gameday came up. The summer of 2014 came, and I was invited into a home game of Pathfinder at the same time as I started playing D&D at my FLGS. I kept playing in that bi-weekly game of PF for a year, but because of the story and the people - I just grew to almost hate PF itself. But I've made many good friends in D&D AL as well, over the two years I've played (1-2 a week, continously). While there can be high turnover on our Monday nights when we run the shorter modules, we have very stable groups for the hardcovers we play on Wednesdays (and we play each of them all the way through each season, not many other groups manage that AFAIK). While I'd still love to play more homebrew and/or houseruled stuff, I'm very happy with AL overall. They've loosened up a lot of the restrictions with time, and so there's not much I want to do that I can't do in AL. And there's many people I'd want to still play with, even if for some reason I stopped participating in AL or at the FLGS.</p></blockquote><p></p>
