The first episode of the Taiga Drama, Miyamoto Musashi, will air Tuesday night, 8pm, local time. It will repeat on the following Sunday night at 7pm if you can't watch it on Tuesday.
Is this something new? I recently read Eiji Yoshikawa's novel about Musashi, and a friend told me about a movie version (Samurai) starring Toshiro Mifune. Is this something different?
On the other hand, don't answer, because I won't be able to see it anyway.
AFAIK, new to Hawaii, imported from Japan. Taiga Drama in Japan TV is like Telenovelas in Latin TV, but less soapy. They're usually historical adaptations. Each mega-series usually consist of at least 10 hour-long episodes.
