I've got to agree (necromancy), I never quite got why they moved the healing spells to Conjuration.

My best guess is to dodge the nearly-automatic negative connotation that Necromancy==Bad.

Gotta go with the crowd on this one and vote Necromancy. It means getting rid of fear effects and such crap and giving Necromancy back to the power over life and death.

From the PHB "Transmutation spells change the properties of some creature, thing or condition." Yep, that's what happens when a "boo-boo" gets "all better." The properties of a creature or of a creature's condition are changed.

Using that logic far too many spells are transmutation. I use divination to learn a secret. My brain has changed. Ever see the 2e spell lists? Half the spells were transmutation.

I say Neromancy with the stipulation that it isn't called Necromancy, which btw pertains to divinations, and would have more life and death spells not just the evil ones.

Funny thing though, I was reading Rules of the Game on the Wizards site and it has two lines (just) on the cure spells. It says that these spells cure people. Not even that they conjure positive energy!

Why not give them these new spells for instance. Grant Ordinary Mutation, Grant Good Mutation and Grant Amazing Mutation. I'll have to figure thier levels however.
