If you are standing on the edge of an obscured terrain (but inside), can you look outside for an attack, like you can look around a corner for a ranged attack?

Example:
The Character "C" is inside a smoke-screen "s" (obscured terrain) and wants to hit his Enemy "E". Does he have a -5 penalty or not?

IIRC, obscure rules check two things: the square your target is in, and the squares between you and the target. It doesn't count the square you're in, so yeah, you can 'see out'.
