I haven't posted here for a long while so I hope there are people here who still remember me. Last fall, my wife and I were blessed with good news that unfortunately greatly reduced my posting (and my gaming), which was already down to a pittance due to life issues. We found out that after four years of trying, and a great deal of accompanying stress, that my wife was pregnant. Our daughter was born last June. (pictures attached). The name is a bit complex. We named her Anne, a relative who recently passed away from cancer. As some posters may be aware I have resided in Russia for a long time and have a Russian wife. Russian tradition is to give a First name, a Patronymic, and the last name. Thus, her name should be Anne (or Anna--the russianized version) Johnovich Semlak. I didn't like that idea, however, so we went with a compromise and named her Anne Anastasia (middle name, from a relative on my wife's side) Semlak. It's a bit weird in Russian but that's that. I'm hoping to keep myself involved with all things gaming, though obviously I'm worried about how to fit sessions in for the next year or so. My local group is switching to 4e this year, and I already have the core books. We're on summer break, but I'm not sure if I can resume all that soon. I'd love to hear how other gamer parents have managed.
